Can I run it on a Pi 3?

This is just what I’ve been looking for to make a travel router with Raspberry Pi

But I can only see downloads for Pi 4/5 - is it coming to Pi 3?

Hi, glad you like the look of it!

Never say never, I know the Pi 3 is a popular model too. The reason for Pi 4 and Pi 5 only really came down to performance - the Pi 3 lacks USB 3.0 (which the USB adapter uses) and also lacks 1Gb ethernet and has quite a bit slower WiFi / CPU for VPN performance than the Pi 4 / 5.

We also have the source code on GitHub if anyone wants to build from source but that not much supported will be provided for that and it is fairly technical

What I would recommend is to request Pi 3 on this form - link here. If I get requests it helps understand how much people want it etc and where to focus efforts when developing.

Ok I was thinking of buying a travel router anyway so not sure if I should bite the bullet and get a pi4 instead and try this

I am also interested in running this on a Raspberry Pi 3, alternatively on a Radxa Rock 4 SE, as these are the two “expendable” SBC’s I have laying around that are not in continuous use. My use cases does not require the higher throughput afforded by the later Pi revisions or USB 3.0, I really only need to set up a quick and easy duplicate of the wifi I will be deploying Pi’s in.

Added my requests through the form.
