If I misconifgured installed packages on LuCI but don’t have my SD card reader - any way to restore?

Hey, few different ways of achieving it without having access to SD Card Reader:

  • If WiFi is accessible (i.e you can connect to PiFi in WiFi Settings you can factory reset via LuCI - 192.168.3.14 → System → Backup / Flash Firmware - or via the PiFi App > Settings > More Settings > Reset)

Assuming you can’t connect to WiFi then:

  • If you have PiFi Kit, remove the USB dongle and wait around 60-90 seconds (you should see PiFi Setup Appear (re-insert the adapter and after 60-90 seconds it should show again as PiFi 4 or PiFi 5 and be restored)

  • If you don’t have PiFi Kit but do have a computer keyboard, you can plug in the keyboard and run firstboot -y then reboot
