Is this project basically as the same as PiHole and PiVPN (but both of them combined)?
PiFi turns Raspberry Pi into a powerful VPN or travel router that can allow any device your network to run over VPN; it also blocks ads across all your devices and has network storage (NAS) features too
It comes with AdGuard Home pre-installed which means it has similar functionality for adblocking as PiHole but a bunch of other networking features on top too
Actually, it’s not so much like PiVPN (a script for making raspberry pi a vpn server) - PiFi doesn’t work as a VPN Server (i.e access your network away from home) it access as a VPN client…
For example, you can set it up with OpenVPN/WireGuard from a VPN provider such as NordVPN, ExpressVPN, Mullvad etc and then any device on your network can run over VPN - including devices such as a Smart TV or console that wouldn’t normally work with VPN apps
