I can create a quick guide specifically for Nord since they are pretty popular - but I can imagine the issue is the credentials for you (you haven’t to use your email/password it’s specific credentials from NordVPN)
I’ll comment details below with steps
It sounds like you’ve already done this, but you can either download servers individually (here) or download them all as a zip folder (here)
On your phone, visit my.nordaccount.com/dashboard/nordvpn/ and sign in then tap on ‘Set up NordVPN manually’
or
Visit https://my.nordaccount.com/dashboard/nordvpn/manual-configuration/ (in either case you will need to be logged in and verify your NordVPN account via a code sent to your email)
These credentials (above) shown on the Manual Configuration page of NordVPN are what you should be entering when uploading the ovpn files you downloaded in step 1, in the PiFi app:

Very new here, just set up my pi5, everything straight forward, added a USB ethnet to connect to my tv internet works great👍🏻.
The drama I have got is getting openVPN to connect with IPVanish. down/uploaded the.OVPN files for several servers logged in with username/password, just seem to get the eternal pink ring.
Any suggestions?

The number one thing I’d check is that credentials are correct. You can also check for system error messages which may provide some detail by going to PiFi App > More Settings > VPN Client > Copy OpenVPN Log (I’d expect it to say auth error somewhere if it was a credentials issue)

Now sorted with Open VPN, managed to get it working with IPVanish & Nord VPN.
However wasn’t able to use WireGuard with either. (Probably not supported?
Seems like NordVPN (and IPVanish) don’t provide WireGuard config files
Although do have plans for Magic Config - which works even in cases where VPN provider doesn’t offer downloadable .conf config file (may not be every single VPN provider though)
