PiFi doesn't boot with RPi 4, stuck at kernel logs

Is this normal behaviour?

I’ve had to use capture card to check what’s going on after waiting for boot up for 20 minutes, but no matter how many times I reflash the USB and reboot it’s always stuck in the exact same place. It’s just weird to me, because when I tried flashing stock OpenWRT it worked fine. Did anyone else ever came across a similar issue?

PS: I don’t know if that affects the boot process, but Pi does not have access to the internet. The router I connected it to has a mac address whitelist and I was planning on changing the mac address in settings after boot with TTY, just like I did on OpenWRT, that is possible, right?

You mentioned re-flash the USB - so you are booting from USB and not SD is that right?

If so, may find solution in this thread (the image is for SD so minor change needed for USB) - Flashing and using generic USB for PiFi install - #6 by Scouter
