Support for OpenVPN without credentials?

I have a consumer Netgear Nighthawk RAXE500 router that supports OpenVPN, but it doesn’t support VPN users/passwords. PIFI is asking for a username/password, and I’ve tried making something up, but so far it’s not able to connect. I’m still troubleshooting this, but is there a way to tell PIFI to not use a username/password, or has anyone been able to use a connection like this?

My reading suggests the OpenVPN implementation on the router may be older, so I’m wondering if this would require some modifications to the OpenVPN implementation on PIFI.

I’ll check this - will push fix if not working!

Will follow up ASAP

Pushed an app update (available already on Android / should be available on iOS this evening)

I don’t have many OpenVPN profiles that don’t use credentials so if you could let me know if it works

EDIT: Also available on iOS now too

This is working on my setup. I tested by hooking up the PIFI to a separate Internet connection and running the OpenVPN setup again. I have had some issues with the PIFI apparently not having an internet connection, but unclear if thats related to these changes, or something else. I’m still working on troubleshooting that behavior.

Thanks!
