Indeed I did test with Adguard disabled and it is not using my DNS. It is using the random cloudflare servers. I surmise this is likely due to a misconfiguration issue.
I understand better tailscale support is coming soon and I look forward to that, but in the meantime I have an upcoming trip where my Pifi would be so useful. So until then I ask you to please not abandon this scripted approach. We are so very close to having it work and it would be so helpful if you could please fix this DNS issue. Let me know if you need additional details to assist with troubleshooting.
