I’m running the PiFi Kit, built on a Raspberry Pi5, and I’ve attached the Pimoroni NVME base duo. I have two, 1tb NVMe drives attached to the base, pcie flat cable attaches the base to RPi5.
I hoped to use the total pool of storage for a NAS. The kit comes with a 32gb micro sd, and I can access that, but I want to serve larger .zim files. The leds on the base are showing the board is powered on, but the drives don’t seem to be recognized by the PiFi. I had been using this same base on a different Pi5, along with other peripherals, powered by the 45 watt Cana Kit 5V/5A power supply without any problems with low voltage. I switched the base over to the PiFi., but I can’t see the drives when I look at the PiFi network storage.
What am I doing wrong? Should I expect that the PiFi can use the attached NVMe drives for Network Storage? If so, how do I get the drives recognized by the PiFi and set-up for use.
Also, I tried plugging in a 1tb ssd via usb 3.0 port, the Pi has no problem supplying it with power, but I don’t see that drive in the network store menu either.
Your assistance is appreciated.
